Biography
Richard W. "Dick" Olson graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law and was admitted to the North Dakota Bar in 1974 and admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 1975.
During his career, Dick served as an interim County Judge for Nelson County and as a Special Assistant Grand Forks County Attorney. For over forty years, Dick's practice focused on mergers, acquisitions, consolidations, and liquidations of large agricultural cooperatives and set the standard for those practice areas in the Midwest. Dick retired from practice on January 1, 2023.
Mr. Olson is a retired United States Air Force Captain and a past real estate law instructor at the University of North Dakota. He has been a member of the National School Board Associations Council of School Attorneys and has also served as President of the North Dakota Council of School Attorneys.
